Parliament House was surprisingly accesible and the guided tour very good. The lack of visible security was astounding - but I am guessing there was a huge arsenal ready at a moments notice. Funnily enough the Parliament building actually looks like a bunker as its built into a hill which one can actually walk over - thus giving the impression that governement is for the people rather than looking down on the people - a nice touch.All the uphlostery colours are carefully chosen to reflect natural shades found in Australian fauna and flora. However, the redish theme is obviously taken from the House of Lords.
