Best to keep your fingers away from these chaps at all times. This was at a wildlife sanctuary so not a wild one - which would have been a great result.

Best to keep your fingers away from these chaps at all times. This was at a wildlife sanctuary so not a wild one - which would have been a great result.
Wild Wallaby at Freycinet
This little chap was quite tame and was on the scout for scraps of food - everyone was good though and didn't give it anything.
Wineglass Bay, Freycinet National Park ,Tas
Apparently the second best beach in the world - behind Camber Sands obviously.
Ross Bridge on the Macquarie River, Ross, Tas
This historic bridge was designed and built by convict stone masons in 1836.
Waterfall bay, Tas
A good spot for surfing according to our new guide Pete - and also a favoured place for Great Whites!!! Can't work out the logic in the that one at all.
Lake St Clair, Tas
The deepest Lake in Australia - it also has reasonably fine sand - a feature caused by the glacier that created it.
QueensTown, West Tas
A sad story - the hills and rivers round here have been poisoned by acid rain amongst other things due to the unregulated mining and processing operations. Some weeds are starting to grow back but the top soil has washed away so there is little chance of much else getting a foot hold.
Macquarie Harbour at Strahan, Tas
The group had fish and chips here which was nice. The fish was called Flake which basically means its shark.
Ocean Beach, Strahan, Tas
Go due west from here and you'll end up in Patagonia. There are some nasty currents and rip tides making it quite treacherous out there.
