Fowler reached Melbourne and found that he'd driven 2042 kilometres just getting down from Sydney. Its a big country - especially when stopping off at a few places on the way. Melbourne was very easy going and pleasant - and an incredible number of cafe and restaurant options.The city was still recovering from the Commonwealth Games and F1 Grand Prix hosted not long before.
