Burdett and Fowler took the bus down to Vang Vieng from Luang Prabang - and it turned out to be a great journey in an uncommonly empty minibus (almost unheard of in Asia). The big limestone karst valley is a spectacualr backdrop. Vang Vieng town itself is best forgotten for aesthetics though!!
